This blog is basically writings from my heart. Things that are screaming at me to tell others or to simply write down. I hope that you can be encouraged by my rambling and I pray that Christ will untimatley be glorified! Also, this is partly a blog dedicated to health. We should honor Christ by being healthy and being our best, after all, our bodies are His temple. Honor God with your body. For His Glory, Miss Bethany

Waiting
I find that I tend to be impatient. I don't really vocalize it, but I am always ready for the next chapter, the next adventure in life. When, really, God's trying to teach me to enjoy and soak in the moments He gives me right now, where I am at in life.
I am a hopeless romantic and I can't wait to be swept off my feet, hold someones hand, and walk down that aisle. However, I need to remember that waiting is part of the journey, it's part of that beautiful, exciting ride. Some days it does not feel like that, but I have to remember to wait, on Him and He will reveal His plan for me in time.
There will be emotions and passions that arise, but Oh! He is good and faithful to hold my heart when it feels to full! I am so glad that I have someone who knows the rest of my story...and I am eager to see what He has in store for me. The hard part is learning to be ready for whatever He has.
Two weeks ago, I came across the beautiful hymn when I was struggling with my emotions and with waiting. It is called, "Have Thine Own Way Lord." Maybe some of you know it, but I had never heard of it before two weeks ago. I think the Lord had it planned that way, because when I read it, I was blown away at how much it fit my circumstance. Later on that night, He blessed me immensely, because He had His own way and taught me to accept that.
Here's the lyrics to the hymn:
"Have thine own way Lord, have thine own way. Thou art the potter, I am the clay. Mould me and make me after Thy will, while I am waiting, yielded and still.
Have Thine own way Lord, have thine own way. Search me and try me, Master today! Whiter than snow, Lord, wash me just now, as in Thy presence, humbly I bow.
Have thine own way Lord, have Thine own way. Wounded and weary, help me I pray. Power all power, wash me just now, touch me and heal me, Savior divine!
Have thine own way Lord, have thine own way! Hold o'er my being Absolute sway! Fill with Thy Spirit, till all shall see, Christ only, always, living in me!"
I love the part when it talks about, waiting-yielded and still. That night, I learned to yield to what He wanted-not what I wanted, and He blessed me for it. Sometimes what He has for us is not what we had planned, but we know it is PERFECT, because they are His plans! And He, is never mistaken!
Psalm 27:14
"Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord."

Miss Bethany

A Little About Me
Hi, my name's Bethany and I am sixteen years old. I love life, singing to the top of my lungs, drinking tea, reading novels, watching football, and being my friends' cheerleader. Some of my hobbies include: straightening my hair, praying until my knees ache, loving with all my heart, and watching breath taking sunsets.
I try to live my life everyday to please my Savior and make Him smile. I love to soak in His word in the quiet hours of the dawn or the night; and sing hymns loud.
I love my family with everything I have, and I love to be with them whenever I can be. My friends mean the world to me and have helped shape me into who I am now. My close friends: Casey, Allison, Braydyn, Savannah (S), Charissa, Julia, Caryoln, Natalie, Sydney, Kylie, Chris, Bryce, and KC are the best friends anyone could ask for! They make me laugh and cry!
I am the kind of girl who loves late night talks, snow covered trees, caroling, stunning landscapes, horses and love stories. I enjoy writing in my journal, jogging, and taking pictures.
To me 31's look like backward 13's. Tea should be sweet. Friends should be forever. Romance should be saved for your beloved. Prayers should be long and often, stories should be sappy and sweet. Football should matter to everyone, farms should be in sight anywhere, colors should be bright and makeup should be pretty.
I love Robin Hood BBC, horses, old pictures, hats, gloves, dresses, healthy food, and hot cocoa. I am dazzled with early morning snow storms, the fall, sea shores, mountain peaks and summits-rivers and valleys.
I think everyone before they die should: (most important by far) accept Christ as Savior, go and pray in a field, lie in grass, gaze at stars, hold someones hand, visit a small town, go on a missions trip, smell the flowers, run in a pasture, kiss a horse, jog two miles, stare into someones eyes, fast for someone, create a snow angel, cut down a Christmas tree, make pie, keep a diary, pick apples and pumpkins, dance in the rain and write.
I believe in Jesus Christ, heaven and a Savior. I believe in fairy tales endings and true love stories. I believe that you can grow to love someone, because you were their friend first. I believe in old fashioned things like horses and carriages, strong wooden doors, hard floors, brick houses, and quaint seaside cottages. I believe in a real prince charming. I believe that God uses are weaknesses to show off His glorious power. I believe He loves us more than we can imagine. I believe that you can glorify your creator in everything you do. I believe that God has a purpose for each and everyone one of us. I believe that God makes everything beautiful in its time.
I believe in red lipstick, pearls, and dresses with belts.
To me day dreaming is a hobby, singing is like breathing, praying is like talking, and laying in a field is endless bliss.
Anne of Green Gables, Pride and Prejudice, Sense and Sensibility, Emma, North and South, Wives and Daughters are movies that inspire me. I love regency and anything BBC. I love anything that is creative, fun, or sparkly. I love the color yellow and picket fences. I love cottages, windswept mountains, lazy rivers, sunflowers, green pastures and old rusted buckets. I love fields of hay, corn and beans. Big waves at the ocean side, and secret entrances enchant me. I am in love with old homes with stories, lofty barns, corn cribs, staircases, and fireplaces.
When everything goes right- I'm amazed; and when everything goes wrong, I know God must have a reason. To me life is simply complex. Simple because God calls us to walk with Him and trust Him with everything, and He will lead us. Complex, because of everything that is involved in that journey of trust.
I love what comes with the journey of life. The winks, the smiles, the verses, the songs, the sunshine, the love, the forevers, the fall, the colors, and everything in between. Jesus had completed my life making me whole and beautiful in His sight. Praise be to Him- who makes everything beautiful and perfect in its time! I love Him and He has given me life!

When You Have a Bad Hair Day
I think every girl should read this verse. It's found in Psalm 45:11. It says,
"The King is enthralled by your beauty, honor Him; for He is your Lord."
When you have a bad hair day, or your not feeling very pretty; read this verse! It's helped me! My King thinks I am beautiful, and is enthralled by it! He is enthralled by your beauty too!
Much Love,
Miss Bethany
(As promised I will write more about me later...)
