Even when pressed for time and the only place you can stop to get something is the gas station, that does not give you the chance to sneak a donut or something! Believe it or not, there are some healthy options in the gas station, you just have to look-high and low.
Here are some options:
Drinks:
Water- obviously the best choice. Keeps you hydrated and cleanses you out!
Sobe 0 Calorie Life Water- this is some great stuff! It is very flavorful and sweetened naturally with 0 calories! This is nice to drink if you want a little flavor.
0 Calorie Vitamin Water- about the same as the previously mentioned 0 calorie water. Sweetened using the same sweetener (Erythritol). Tastes great!
Snacks:
Kashi Granola Bars-try to stick to this brand, all natural and whole grains, lots of fiber and protein! Make sure you don't eat more than one at a time though, they are all around 120-150 Calories per bar and have around 5 Grams of fiber and protein.
Chobani Yogurt- I hear that some gas stations are now carrying these! Yeah for gas stations!
Sugar Free Gum- This helps to curb appetites, and is quite yummy to chew on! :) Obviously, you have a lot of flavor options.
Much Love,
Miss B

When You Are On the Go...
I always pack meals when I am going to be gone over a meal hour. Why? Well, it saves me from wrong choices at fast-food joints. Most fast-food places take a lot of time just to find something healthy, also their salads might look good, but when you take another look and see that the chicken on the salad is fried and the lettuce is covered with thick, fattening ranch dressing, you have to ask yourself, how healthy is this? In fact, salads with fried and rich and creamy toppings to garnish it, are not good for you at all! Do not be fooled!
So, to stay away from this, I pack lunches. Today, I will be gone babysitting all day, so I will need to pack a lunch. Make sure you pack enough to keep you from snacking or going to the vending machines and if you like to munch, like me, bring healthy snack options; such as dried fruit, almonds (measure your portion sizes though! Almonds and dried fruit can be quite high calorically if not measured out!), chobani yougurt, etc.
If you are in a hurry, grab a couple baggies. Fill one with veggies, another with fruit, another with some protein source, (such as granola or nuts), and a Chobani Yogurt if you have on hand. This dosen't take forever to prepare, you just have to grab it and throw it in a bag! But, it is healthy and super easy! Also, it is inexpensive!
Have fun packing lunches and mix it up! Go for a sandwich one day, then salad, turkey meat wraps, etc.
Here are some packed lunch ideas:
I hope some of these lunch ideas get you thinking and packing! (:

Here are some packed lunch ideas:
- Salad (bring your Italian dressing! Make sure to put it on the side too, so your salad is not soggy by the time you eat it!
- Sandwiches (try to stay away from mayo-embrace the mustard, 0 calorie and good for you!)
- Chobani Yogurt, Fruit and Veggies, and Turkey Meat (or Granola).
- Leftovers from last night's meal :) Yum!
- Soup- if you have a good enough container to carry it in, and if a microwave is available to use where you are at.
- Turkey Wraps
- Whole Wheat Mini Bagel plus Turkey and Mozzarella Cheese Block Slices (2)
- Peanut Butter and Honey or Jelly (careful to measure peanut butter though!)
- Fruit Smoothie prepared in advanced. These are so yummy and you can add veggies to them because the fruit hides the veggie taste!
I hope some of these lunch ideas get you thinking and packing! (:

Don't Get Stuck on Boring Food
Sometimes, when people think about eating healthy they think that it is boring. Just eating bags of lettuce and drinking water. But, you have to understand, eating healthy is fun! You can make it colorful, creative, yummy, and super good for you! You just have to take the time to learn how to cook!
Here are some ways that I make my food fun and yummy:
Hope these ideas help, enjoy eating healthy!

This girl is amazing! I love her website:)
Here are some ways that I make my food fun and yummy:
- Embrace your colorful food-this dosen't mean M&Ms, I mean fruits and veggies. Adding lots of colorful veggies to your food dosen't JUST add nutrients, vitamins and fiber to your meal, it adds color, texture and interest. Try to not go just all green, but add your yellows, purples, reds, oranges, and pinks.
- Shoot for Texture! Texture is one of my favorite things about food. Adding veggies, rice, or (one of my personal favorites) barley to meals adds a great dimension.
- Don't just add salt, experiment with other seasonings. We get to comfortable with just salt and pepper. Mix it up, reach for the cumin, chilli powder, or fresh garlic. Try those herbs like parsley, sage, and cilantro. You will be amazed at how just a little shake of spices and herbs can bring your food to a whole new level!
- If you are bored of the same old turkey sandwich for lunch- shake things up a bit. Make a turkey or chicken salad. Or make soup and toast the bread you would have used for your lunch for toast.
Hope these ideas help, enjoy eating healthy!
Much Love,
Miss B <3

Morning Light
Good morning everyone! I hope you all had a fantastic evening last night!
My health tip for the day is: always start your day with a healthy breakfast! It is key to starting your metabolsim, with increases your burning of calories. Getting it started and boosted in the morning is key to a healthy weight, or if you are trying to lose weight, weight loss.
My favorite breakfast is Oatmeal. I usually have around a third cup with 1 tsp of turbinado sugar (which is non-processed sugar) or honey. Some other great breakfast ideas are:

Health Tip for the Day
So, confession time. I am a health nut. And I would love to share tips and thoughts about health and more throughout each day.
So, today is my first health tip.
Drink More Water!
Facts are people drink less water than their body needs. We need water in order to stay hydrated and clense our body. Try to drink at least eight glasses per day.
I am going to take the challenge on of drinking eight glasses per day or the next two weeks. Will anyone join me?
