Motivation

One of the common excuses for not being healthy or losing weight is because they don't have any motivaiton! Here are so great motivational tips and ideas to get you to break through the "I can't do it'"s and to the "I can do this!"

1. Surround yourself with people who will support you!
Whether it be an online community or your family and friends, support is vital!

2.Focus on short term goals:
Don't overwhelm yourself with the long term goals, but rather focus on little ones, one step at a time.  (Although it is very important to have a long term goal)

Write out Everything You Eat:
This helps you see what you can eat for the next meal and what you should stay away from.

3.Reward yourself with pounds lost:
For instance, for every five or ten pounds lost reward yourself (not with food) but with a facial, message, or new purse!
4.Chart Your Progress:
Even if it is a little- it is something! Don't get discouarged if it comes off slow- at least you're not gaining!

5.Buy Cute Clothes:
When you have lost weight, promise yourself a shopping trip!

6.Join A Class:
This is always fun because you are able to do it with others and they are able to motivate you and inspire you too! Also, others will most likely see your progression even when you don't!

7. Don't TOTALLY Deprive Yourself:
Make Friday's your "Cheat" day.  Be careful of this mentality though.  Do not go overboard! Make your cheat a 1/2 cup of Fozen Yogurt or your favorite small serving of a yummy dish. Just make sure your cheat item is ONE dish and ONE small serving. It is not a day to cheat on everything- just indulge in one serving of something. Remember moderation!
8. Avoid Temptations You Know YOu are Not Strong Enough to Handle Yet!
If you know you are not strong enough yet to go into the Cheesecake Factory- DON'T go inside!!!

9. Write Yourself An I-Promise Note!
Write yourself a note that promises what you want to accomplish and how you want to reward yourself, and how much you know you are worth living a healthy lifestyle.

10. Plan Ahead
Always always plan ahead! Plan your meals the night before when you would be watching TV, plan your workouts and your snacks- planning can determine your success for the day or not!

11. Remember to Honor the Lord with Your Body!
He cares about what you put into it and what you use it for! After all, He made you!
